See What We Do for Lemurs and Other Wildlife in Madagascar

John Cleese and Lemurs?
Absolutely. John Cleese has long supported lemur conservation. A PBS program was filmed about his visit to MFG programs in Madagascar. Mr. Cleese also arranged for the premiere of "Fierce Creatures" in England to benefit the MFG. In 2005, a recently discovered species of lemur was named Avahi cleesei by researchers from the University of Zurich in honor of Mr. Cleese's long support of lemur conservation. The images below were taken at the opening of a new lemur exhibit at the San Francisco Zoo, one of the key founding MFG members. Take a tour of the MFG and its programs. You can also shop our online store for apparel, coffee mugs, and more!
